Multiple International Private Equity & Alternative Investment Managers are in search for Financial Controller for the HK Branch
Job Duties
As part of the CFO office, you will be entrusted with the following accountabilities
- Responsible for the GP Finance, Corporate & Financial Accounting, Audit and Taxation aspects
- Responsible for coordinating with internal/external counterparts for financial reporting to ensure the compliance with local GAAPs
- Oversight internal/external audit to fulfil local statutory/group reporting requirements
- Assess the statutory returns of the licensed corporations; daily monitoring of liquidity capital and meet timely regulatory filings and requests by collaborating with Group Finance, Fund Administration, Compliance & Legal and Investment Teams
- Promote optimization of reporting and workflow/system enhancement across the region
Requirements
- Qualified accountant. 8years+ relevant corporate accounting and financial control experience earned from international financial institutions
- Strong financial control, corporate accounting, audit, tax & regulatory filing experience is essential
- Buyside experience with private equity exposure is a definite advantage
- Strong regional project management experience is critical
- Adaptive to multi-cultural and dynamic int’l working environment

- Regional SME & Finance Tech/Systems Lead: Own APAC finance process architecture, ensuring local operations and tax/regulatory requirements (GST, withholding tax, multi-currency) align with global platforms.
- AI & Tech Champion: Lead AI and tech adoption (GenAI, SQL, BI) to automate regional workflows and modernize finance operations.
- Hands-on Solution Delivery: Build low-code apps (Power Platform, Appian) and custom scripts (Python, SQL, VBA) to solve business challenges, managing Agile delivery from requirements through UAT.
