Our Client
Our client is globally recognized pure-play private bank with over 500 staff across Asia. Due to rapid business growth in North Asia Region & expansion of its footprint. We are looking for multiple operations candidates from Senior Associate/VP to establish and run the Cross-Asset classes of Securities, Structured Products and Payments divisions, backed by our fully operational, supportive Singapore hub.
The Role
You will report directly to the Head of Operations, Asia, acting as the primary change manager and operational anchor for our HK branch.
Job Duties
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and grow the Hong Kong Securities and Payments Operations team (4+ staff) to ensure smooth day-to-day controls, settlement, middle office, and reconciliation.
- Multi-Asset classes of Securities & Structured Products Operations: Check and validate trades, ensuring timely confirmation, matching, and settlement of OTC equity structured products and securities by working with external counterparts & custodian and internal front office & compliance departments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HKMA, SFC and HK Exchange & Clearing reporting & regulatory requirements.
- Regional Collaboration: Coordinate with the broader Asia Operations and Head Office teams to develop cross-border expertise and handle Corporate Actions and security transfers.
- Project & Change Management: Spearhead process enhancements, drive new product launch implementations, and conduct targeted operational training.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary escalation point for Front Office queries, resolving root causes constructively and efficiently.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5-10 years of Operations/Middle Office experience with a proven steady track record within Private Banking Operations in Hong Kong.
- Familiar with Trade Life Cycle from middle to back offices: including trade reconciliation, operations control, settlement, corporate action and payment.
- Product Knowledge: Deep expertise in securities Settlement, Middle Office, Corporate Actions, and OTC equity structured products.
- Regulatory Acumen: Solid understanding of local Hong Kong payment protocols and operational risk management.
- Leadership: Competent, hands-on supervisory capabilities with a strong control and risk-awareness mindset.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.

Job Duties
